Zamboni Operator | Part-Time | Liberty First Credit Union Arena

The postion of Zamboni Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni) maintenance of all areas pertaining to and pr involved in maintaining a quality sheet of ice for USHL hockey team. The Zamboni operator will work on both the Liberty First Credit Union Arena ice sheet and the Community Rink Ice Sheet.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 to $18.00

Liberty First Credit Union Arenais an indoor arena located in the Ralston/Omaha Nebraska area. The 200000 sq. ft. arena can accommodate up to 4400 patrons and hosts 350000 attendees at upwards of 140 concerts sporting events family shows and other events every year. The arena is home to the USHL Omaha Lancers Hockey team and the NAL Omaha Beef Football team. The arena is just two miles from the interstate and attracts concert goers from a 100-mile radius.

• Responsible for occasional maintenance and repair of rink equipment to include but not limited to: Zamboni dasher system sub floor tempered glass acrylic glass safety netting Jet Ice systems edgers goal nets etc.
• Work with facilities department to provide optimal ice conditions for all ice events.
• Oversee aspects of ice installation and removal.
• Assist operations department to expedite event conversions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience as an operator for Zamboni Ice Resurfacing preferred
• Experience with heavy machines is a plus
• Solid understanding of OSHA rules and regulations
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment for extended periods of time
• Must be able to stand bend and stoop for long periods of time
• Must be able to climb stairs/ladder
• Ability to adhere to building policies and event requirements
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions as well as communicate effectively in both oral and written form
• Must be able to work irregular hours to include early mornings nights weekends and holidays.
