Hours: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Days: Monday - Friday
Full Time/Benefit Eligible
In this role you will:
- Perform routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of surgical specimens for Histological processing according to policies and procedures.
- Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.
- Perform gross description and dissection of specimens received.
- Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing embedding cutting staining.
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
- Champion safety compliance and quality control
All you need is:
- Must qualify as a High Complexity Testing personnel under CLIA regulations-- bachelors degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology obtained from an accredited institution.
- 1 year experience in grossing preferred
- Strong reading writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers automated analyzers centrifuges microscopes manual and automated pipettes and audible alarms.
Bonus points if youve got:
- 2 years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with documented special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
