Position Description: During the busy holiday season Lighthouse Mission Ministries (LMM) needs additional help processing donations and thanking donors. The Advancement Services Assistant will be responsible for processing incoming donations helping with data entry writing thank-you cardsfolding/stuffing letters and envelopes and completing other tasks to support the Advancement Department.
Schedule:Approximately 8-12 hours per week Monday to Friday during the hours of 8am to 4pm. This seasonal position is available from now to mid-January.
Compensation to Include: WA Paid sick-time opportunity to participate in 403(b) plan ongoing training and employee assistance program. The duration of this seasonal part-time non-exempt position will be from late-October until early to mid-January. These are rough estimates that depend on the need and may include on-call capacity. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and sort incoming mail.
- Process donations for deposit including remote depositing and preparing gifts for data entry.
- Contact donors to thank them collect missing data answer questions or clarify inconsistencies related to their donations.
- Work with Advancement Services to problem-solve.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Organizational Relationships:Reports directly to the Advancement Services Coordinator works alongside the Advancement Team and represents LMM to donors and the general public.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient in general computer skills and the ability to use Google Suite
- Detail oriented with a passion for accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to complete simple calculations with use of a calculator.
- Ability to relate well and work effectively with co-workers and the public.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passionate motivated team player who is willing to learn and is committed to working within a collaborative environment while ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- A strong supporter of the mission of LMM and of the role of the Advancement Department in the organization.
Work Environment
Work takes place in a friendly team-based office environment. Must be able to operate standard office equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to report as scheduled to the work site
Medium to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) as needed to assist with donations and/or special events.
Possible exposure to a variety of illnesses
