DescriptionJoin our team working on iconic infrastructure projects like CityLink and the West Gate Tunnel where Downer plays a critical role in maintaining assets and providing rapid incident response across Melbournes major road network. As a Storesperson youll ensure field teams have the parts and consumables they need by managing stock efficiently operating forklifts and EWPs safely and maintaining compliance with WHS and Chain of Responsibility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inspect and record deliveries
- Pick pack and issue stock for planned and emergency works
- Safely operate forklifts pallet jacks and EWPs
- Conduct stock counts and assist with audits
- Maintain a clean safe and organized stores area
- Support logistics for site deliveries (e.g. preparing manifests and loading vehicles)
- Report damaged or low-stock items promptly
What youll bring
- Mandatory: Forklift licence and proven experience
- Desirable: EWP licence and experience working at height
- Prior stores or warehouse experience (construction/infrastructure preferred)
- Basic IT skills for inventory systems (e.g. data entry into maintenance management system full training provided)
- Strong safety focus and teamwork skills.
- Active interest in improvement of inventory management processes and practices and interest in career progression to Stores Management Procurement or Maintenance Management.
