Job Description

If you arelooking for a collaborative dynamic physician-led practice environment where you can learn grow and excel in providing integrated multidisciplinary patient centered care then Starling Physicians is the place to be! We are currently seeking a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with our Cardiology Physicians providing patient care in the outpatient office.

Requirements include:

  • Current Connecticut State APN or PA License

  • Board Certified

  • Cardiology experience preferred

  • BLS and ACLS certification required

  • Excellent clinical judgment communication and time management skills

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including history physical examination and diagnostic evaluations in an outpatient setting

  • Manage and monitor chronic cardiac conditions such as heart failure arrhythmias hypertension and coronary artery disease

  • Interpret ECGs echocardiograms stress tests and other cardiac diagnostics

  • Perform stress tests

  • Review and manage test results labs and imaging; communicate findings and next steps with patients promptly

  • Provide patient advice and triage over the phone for individuals experiencing symptoms such as chest pain palpitations shortness of breath or medication concerns

  • Develop implement and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists

  • Educate patients and families about heart disease prevention medication adherence and lifestyle modifications

  • Coordinate care with other specialists primary care providers and ancillary staff

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
