Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week Rotating Nights (7 PM 7 AM) Every Other Weekend/Holiday
Pay Rate: $50 - $56/hour
Job Description:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in acute and chronic respiratory management and capable of delivering ventilatory support while following best practices and department protocols.
Responsibilities:
Assess and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Initiate and manage ventilatory support; recommend ventilator settings use lung-protective strategies and wean patients appropriately.
Perform diagnostic procedures including ABG draws sputum collection bedside spirometry and capnography; interpret results accurately.
Monitor patients respiratory status during hospital and inter-facility transport.
Attend Codes Rapid Response Teams and assist with conscious sedations and intubations.
Administer therapeutic gases (oxygen Heliox high flow oxygen therapy) and aerosolized/metered dose medications.
Support bronchoscopies and all treatment modalities for neonatal and pediatric populations.
Manage tracheostomy and laryngectomy care perform suctioning and assist with tube changes.
Operate and maintain airway clearance devices and non-invasive ventilation.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide clinical expertise.
Document care accurately in the EMR and perform daily charge reconciliation.
Precept and train new staff students and other departments as required.
Maintain equipment and supplies; engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
Massachusetts State licensure in Respiratory Therapy.
Current BLS certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Minimum one year of critical care experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner.
