Position Overview:

Zynga is seeking a Software Engineer (New Graduate) in Austin or Toronto whos excited to learn build and grow with our expert engineering team.

We have a well-rounded and tight-knit team distributed across various locations with a healthy mix of engineering skill levels and we are looking to strengthen our team. Were looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic engineer who communicates effectively thrives in a collaborative team environment and can adapt and perform well under tight deadlines. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on user-facing features core gameplay functionality various backend systems and generally tackle challenging problems for high-profile mobile games. On the backend our servers and APIs support the mobile games that tens of millions of users enjoy every day. We support some of the worlds largest mobile games on some of the worlds largest infrastructures. Our servers and APIs help support the mobile games that tens of millions of users enjoy every day including Words With Friends. As a Software Engineer youll develop critical game components and systems that directly relate to the success of our games

What Youll Do:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and maintain gameplay features across backend (Ruby on Rails C#) and frontend (Unity).
• Assist in building APIs and server-side logic using Ruby on Rails or C#.
• Help design and lead database schemas and data storage solutions (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).
• Support application deployment and live-ops under supervision.
• Write and maintain unit tests and assist in debugging and resolving issues.
• Collaborate closely with product managers designers and engineers to understand requirements and deliver features.
• Contribute to and maintain technical documentation.

What You Bring:

• Bachelors or Masters degree (completed or about to graduate) in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven understanding of data structures algorithms and object-oriented programming.
• Passion for gaming
• Strong problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies

• Contributions to open-source or student-led software projects.
