Job Summary
The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise Idaho. Summary
This role supports production efforts through management of plant maintenance reliability and upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing company rules and procedures.
- Evaluate potential projects with plant and company stakeholders. This may require working within a larger project team by managing and/or designing a portion of that project.
- Obtain vendor/contractor quotations for proposed work scope. Responsible for gaining stakeholder alignment on all proposals feasibility studies and vendor/construction packages.
- Prepare project scope of work documents budgets and schedules. Obtain approvals for execution.
- Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress coordinating activities and resolving problems efficiently with minimal impact to plant operations over entire project lifecycle (development design construction and project closeout).
- Prepares project status reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends recommending actions. Routinely communicate with project stakeholders on status.
- Ensure timely closeout of projects including handover of documents for archiving.
- Ability to work additional time as needed including weekends for any project completion or oversight.
Typical Education
- Bachelors Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 3 years related experience or training.
- Experience in Phosphate Fertilizer mining and manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to manage priorities meet deadlines and manage projects.
- Must be able to show initiative and be a self-starter to achieve working goals.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
