Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (OR)
Location: Patchogue NY 11772
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 3x12 Hours (07:00 AM 07:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $60 - $63 per hour
Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse Operating Roomfor an exciting job in Patchogue NY.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pre- intra- and post-operative nursing care for patients across all age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
Assist with and circulate in surgical procedures including vascular orthopedic and robotic cases.
Maintain aseptic techniques and ensure adherence to infection control policies.
Coordinate with surgical teams CRNAs anesthesiologists and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
Support surgeons and scrub technicians during complex procedures ensuring readiness of equipment and supplies.
Adhere to hospital safety medication and operational protocols (Omnicell medication system).
Participate in trauma general and specialty surgeries as required.
Contribute to a collaborative efficient OR team environment and maintain readiness for emergencies.
Requirements:
License: Active RN license (NY)
Certifications: BLS (Required)
Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital
System Experience: EPIC (Required) Omnicell (Preferred)
Hospital Type: Community Hospital (Required); Trauma Level II (Required); Trauma Level I and Teaching Hospital experience (Preferred)
Charge RN Experience: Preferred
First-Time Travelers: Not accepted unless 5 years of OR experience
