Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Commercial) to provide expert legal support across corporate governance compliance investment and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate and commercial law with a proven track record in transactional activities M&A and regulatory compliance within financial or investment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft review and negotiate corporate commercial M&A and investment contracts.
Lead corporate governance and compliance programs ensuring alignment with applicable laws regulations and best practices.
Oversee due diligence legal documentation and transactional processes to safeguard the companys interests.
Provide strategic legal advice on corporate structure commercial operations and investment activities.
Collaborate with executive leadership on policy and procedural development to strengthen compliance frameworks.
Develop and standardize contract templates for corporate and commercial use.
Manage and mitigate legal risks across all business operations.
Support strategic initiatives in coordination with the Chief Legal Officer ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Oversee legal budget and resource optimization to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders promoting legal integrity and corporate values.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
Masters degree in Business Law Governance or Compliance is an advantage.

Experience:

810 years of experience in a similar or related field.
At least 3 years supporting both commercial and corporate functions within finance investment or corporate governance.
Experience in an international law firm or reputable organization with a focus on corporate governance compliance and investments preferred.
