An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Town Planner to join a respected and growing planning consultancy based in Leeds City Centre. This is a fantastic chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects from urban regeneration and mixed-use developments to strategic residential and commercial schemes while taking real ownership of your work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Youll be joining a consultancy known for its creative approach to planning and its ability to deliver successful outcomes for clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and contribute to a wide range of planning applications appeals and development appraisals.
Provide expert planning advice and lead client communications on a variety of schemes.
Undertake site appraisals research and analysis to inform development strategies.
Prepare high-quality planning statements design and access statements and committee reports.
Engage with local planning authorities stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to drive successful project delivery.
Mentor junior planners and support the continued growth of the planning team.
About You
Around 4 years post-qualification experience in town planning ideally within consultancy or a local authority setting.
MRTPI Chartered (or actively working towards chartership within the next 12 months).
Strong working knowledge of UK planning policy legislation and the development management process.
Excellent communication negotiation and report-writing skills.
A proactive and commercially minded planner who enjoys managing projects and building strong client relationships.
