Job Summary

Join Mass Eye and Ears Anesthesia Department comprised of 6 full-time Anesthesia Techs 30 Anesthesiologists 30 CRNAs and 10 Nurse Practitioners. This collaborative team is a wonderful place to work and learn.


Qualifications

Anesthesia Technician Co-op Responsibilities

Performs routine duties to assist the professional nursing and medical staff. Assists Anesthesiologists by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders stocks tests and maintains anesthesia supplies medications and equipment. Washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.

Role Functions

  • Transports and distributes anesthetic equipment in surgical suites.
  • Troubleshoots equipment during operative procedures and makes appropriate replacements when necessary.
  • Prepares equipment and assists with invasive monitoring procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment machines and carts.
  • Cleans maintains and orders anesthesia supplies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
