Position Summary
Territory Managersfor Millersell high quality value-added adjuvants and nutritional products to agricultural retailers throughout the willwork withgrowers touncover needs and enhance crop production throughsolving problems with Miller productsandtoensure a Managerwill work to find newsalesleads through business directories client referralstrade showsetc. to grow sales for the company. The territory for this position covers: Pennsylvania Delaware Virginia New Jersey Maryland.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively engaged in assigned territory withPCAs Growers Distributors and Extensions
- Demonstrates deep understanding of the market in assigned sales territory
- Exhibitspassion energy and creativity in thesales andsupport ofMillerproducts and objectives
- Resultsoriented and takesinitiative overcomesobstaclesand findscreative solutionsto challenges
- Demonstratedabilityto effectively communicatetechnical information to both technical and non-technical audiences both in group and individual meetings
- Demonstrated ability toclearly and conciselycommunicate product market competitive and customer data
- Makessound agronomic recommendations to customers by presenting products and solutions to maximize customer outcomes
- RepresentsMiller Chemical as the expert in non-hazardous crop protection products and nutritional agricultural chemicals
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelorsdegree in Crop Scienceor similaragriculturalscientific/technicalfield of studypreferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum3-5 years of experience in specialty agricultural productsales ordevelopment and marketing support
- Extensive knowledge of specialty crop production and cultural practices
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to entire territory region
- Excellent communication skills in English required but bilingual skills in Spanish is a plus
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word and Power Point a must
- Strong knowledge of sales in agricultural specialty products (adjuvants specialty fertilizer and pesticides)
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills resulting in profitable growth
- Familiarity with CRM software and proven ability to use it as an enabling tool to manage and drive sales

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicants skills performance job responsibilities prior relevant experience certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

In addition to base compensation individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
