We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional who exemplifies that mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference.
Schedule Hours:Part time 20 hours per week flexible schedule
What will you be doing
- The Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of counseling skills training and case management services to a caseload of clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.
- Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents. Services are offered both onsite and in the community or client home
- Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours
- Provide effective individual and group counseling
- Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirementsof program funders and applicable administrative rules
- Provide case management services as medically necessary
- Complete required documentation (IMCANS documentation includingencounters consents) on a timely basis
- Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements as assigned byDirector based on specific job duties
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Maintain client files according to agency policy
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
- Abide by AIDs Code of Ethics policies and procedure
- Schedule and conduct treatment planning meetings asnecessary
- Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve serviceprovision
- Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
- Maintain a positive professional working relationship withagencies and other stakeholders
- Maintain a positive professional working relationship withcoworkers within AID
- Assist clients in obtaining and maintaining publicentitlements as necessary
- Participate in agency committees as assigned
- Participate in clinical supervision a minimum of one time permonth
- Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwillingto engage in office-based services

What will you bring to the table
Education: Masters degree in a human services field
License/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basisEquipment:
- Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
- Copy machine
- Telephone with voice mail system
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evening hours
- Use of personal automobile
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AIDspersonnel policies
- Maintain valid Illinois drivers license
- Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AIDs insurance carrier.
