We are looking for a Program Manager at PU Integrated Systems within the Business Unit Surface Sensor Program Management the focus is on the execution of contracts of various sizes throughout the lifecycle of the products from development contracts to service contracts.
The Business Area Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security surveillance and decision support and threat detection and protection. The portfolio includes airborne ground-based and naval radar electronic warfare combat systems and command and control solutions.
The Business Unit Surface Sensor Solutions is part of Surveillance and has more than 2000 employees globally with a strong presence in Sweden Finland Germany and the UK.
Surface Sensor Solutions provides ground-based and naval radar and electronic surveillance solutions. The business unit has a strong presence in the global defense and security markets maintains close relationships with customers and engages in rewarding international collaborations.
Your role
Within Surface Sensor Solutions the Program Management offices are responsible for executing won contracts with the main task of securing good profitability cash flow delivery precision quality and customer satisfaction over time.
As a Program Manager you will be responsible for executing won contracts and studies including securing good profitability cash flow delivery precision quality and customer satisfaction. You will take full responsibility for all project management aspects including:
- Project definition and bid preparations
- Project management during the execution phase of contracts
- Serving as the interface towards our customers during execution and being responsible for contract fulfilment including negotiations
- Ensuring the short- and long-term profitability of the projects and securing that the goals are met
- Challenging the organization to continuously improve in order to contribute to increased efficiency in our operations
- Informing and establishing commitment for the project within the organization to meet the customers expectations and ensure the commercial success of your projects
Your profile
You have a technical background and leadership experience with a focus on business and customer understanding. It would be highly qualifying if you have a financial understanding and experience in project management and contract negotiations. You are comfortable working both independently within your field of competence and with other interfaces to ensure quality meet directives and adhere to deadlines. You are a team player willing to go the extra mile for your team and its objectives and are not afraid to provide operational support to the project when needed for its success.
We believe you have enthusiasm perseverance and an interest in understanding the circumstances and conditions relevant to each customer solution and business case. You have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English. You are prepared to learn new things and can easily adapt to different environments and cultures.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
