Job Summary

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this post is to discharge the duties of an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and to support the smooth operations of the Occupational Therapy Department within the assigned CHI site. The OTA manages the physical environment of the department whilst taking responsibility for cleanliness of rooms and equipment monitoring of all stock levels and takes a lead role in the logistical management of specialised equipment stock used to support the care and management of children under our care.

Essential Criteria:

  • Possess the certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare support with Occupational Therapy modules 1 & 2 at level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by the quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI)

OR

  • Possess a relevant healthcare qualification at not less than Level 1 & 2 on the NFQ maintained by QQI and give an understanding to participate in the appropriate Occupational Therapy Assistant training modules 1 & 2

AND

  • Are currently or previously employed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant HealthCare Assistant Attendant Multi-task Attendant or in any comparable role within the last year.
