About the Role:

As the Global Event Specialist at Lloyds Register you will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our global event programme which represents one of the largest areas of marketing investment for the organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of events such as exhibitions client engagement initiatives segment events technical and advisory committees LR celebrations held worldwide.

This role is suited to a methodical and detail orientated individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will be working with a team who are delivering an extensive events programme and therefore working at pace in a dynamic environment must be second nature. This is a highly visible role within the organisation working with leaders and teams across our organisation and requiring a modest amount of international travel across the year.

The Role

  • Implementation of Global Event Programme: Supporting with the delivery of LR hosted events across segment technical and advisory programmes.
  • Developing and Executing Strategic Global Sponsorship Programmes: Implementing targeted sponsorship initiatives on a global scale to enhance event outreach and engagement.
  • Global Events Calendar Management: Ensuring the global events calendar is meticulously maintained and regularly updated with accurate information.
  • Content Management on Internal Communication Platform: Overseeing the maintenance and updates of event-related content on the internal communications platform ensuring relevancy and accuracy.
  • Ownership of Event Programme Elements: Owning specific workstreams included project managing event delivery from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborative Coordination: Coordinating seamlessly with event support agencies colleagues and clients to deliver seamless and successful events.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Generating value-driven reports to provide insights into event performance and effectiveness.
  • Proactive Resource Planning: Engaging in proactive resource planning to support the smooth execution of the event program.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Event Quality: Maintaining exceptionally high standards of quality across events hosted and attended by the company.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensuring consistent branding across all event resources adhering to established brand guidelines.
  • Cultural and Client-Targeted Messaging: Adapting messaging for local audiences while being sensitive to cultural nuances and client preferences showcasing a keen understanding of diverse audience needs.

What you bring

  • 6 - 10 years of experience in event management and delivery
  • Prior experience working with global teams across multiple time zones
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms particularly Excel and Microsoft Forms; familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and CRM systems like Salesforce is desirable
  • Background in the maritime industry is preferred but not required
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken is essential
