Requisition Summary
PACCAR Financial is seeking innovative forward-thinking individuals for our 2026 Financial Summer Accounting Internship Program. We are committed to building a future-ready accounting team and invite candidates who are eager to challenge the status quo apply the latest in AI data analytics and automation and drive meaningful change.
What youll experience:
- Collaborate directly with senior managers controllers and experienced accountants.
- Develop mentoring relationships and gain exposure to real-world accounting challenges.
- Work on projects that directly impact our transformation journeyusing technology to automate streamline and enhance accounting processes.
- Apply classroom learning to solve real business problems with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
The internship is scheduled to begin in May or June 2026.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using AI data analytics and automation tools (e.g. Python Tableau Snowflake Sigma UiPath DataCamp and others).
- Analyze and automate accounting workflows supporting quarterly SEC filings and financial reporting.
- Participate in projects that modernize our accounting operations such as automating reconciliations leveraging large language models for reporting and developing dashboards for actionable insights.
- Present your findings and recommendations to senior leadership demonstrating your ability to think critically and drive change.
Skills / Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with automation and data analytics tools (Python Tableau Power Query SQL R etc.) is highly valued.
- Curiosity creativity and a willingness to challenge existing processes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- A passion for learning and applying new technologies to accounting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting Business Finance or other related fields.

Additional Job Board Information

The salary range for internship positions is $25 an hour for undergraduate students and $30 an hour for graduate students.
