Job Summary
Shipping Lead
This position oversees the shipping & fulfillment system. They will receive and pull orders across the various platforms organize them in accordance with the fulfillment process and distribute tasks to the shipping associates. Responsible for accurate order fulfillment. Work with Customer Service to resolve shipping and/or transportation issues and maintain shipping supplies. Be proactive in searching for shipping options to minimize losses/delays/customer service issues as well as maximize company profits. Work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain accurate inventory counts and levels for finished products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of but not be limited to the following:
- Managing shipping and fulfillment across multiple online platforms including: Shopify Amazon Walmart Faire.
- Booking & preparing freight shipments.
- Fulfilling online orders with accuracy and speed.
- Inventory management.
- Communicate shipping details with management customer service department and customers.
- Coordinate fulfillment and shipping activities with customer service department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Required high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred associates or bachelors degree.
- 1 years related experience in in related field or relevant work experience.
- DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with shipping via USPS UPS (Worldship) and various freight platforms
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members. Must demonstrate effective leadership problem solving presentation and motivational skills.
- Proficient in Internet navigation Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- High level organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Read order report or packing slip.
- Building boxes/cartons as needed.
- Pull products required for order fulfillment.
- Provide accuracy checks as needed.
- Labeling of boxes cartons envelops etc.
- Sealing boxes cartons envelops etc.
- Loading & wrapping pallets.
- Lifting weights up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for a 8-10 hour shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Work is performed primarily in an office environment . At times incumbent may need to enter production environment where the could be exposure to moderate cold manufacturing equipment movement loud noise levels strong odors (spices jerky sauces etc.) and wet / slippery floors.
