Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mobile Health Nurse to join our close-knit team in Tairāwhiti.

This role will get you out and about in the community working closely with wāhine and their whanau and other primary healthcare providers.

Were looking for someone who enjoys engaging with people building positive relationships and reducing health inequity for our Māori and Pacifika. This screening service aims to improve screening coverage and to ensure whanau in the Tairāhiti region have access to services to empower them to make informed decisions regarding breast cervical and bowel screening. Provide coaching clinical support/advice and contribute to service improvement.

This is a fixed term part time role working 24 hours per week.

He kōrero mōu: About you

  • Have at least two years clinical experience.
  • An individual who has a special interest in womens health.
  • Experience working in primary care public health or community nursing (preferred).
  • Has knowledge of the national cervical screening health target.
  • Experience as a Cervical Screener.
  • The ability to connect with wāhine Māori and Pasifika.
  • Proficient in using Office 365 products and competency using video conferencing (e.g. Teams and Zoom).
