About the Role
As the Financial Controller you will oversee all financial operations of the hotel ensuring accuracy transparency and compliance across reporting payroll budgeting forecasting cash flow and statutory obligations. You will act as a key business partner to the General Manager Owners Regional Finance teams and Department Heads.
This role requires strong leadership exceptional financial acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic insights that drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Hotel Finance Department.
- Deliver timely and accurate weekly monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure full compliance with Accor policies and local legislative requirements.
- Oversee AP AR Payroll and Cashiering functions.
- Drive budgeting forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Manage statutory reporting including BAS Payroll Tax FBT WorkCover and annual audits.
- Provide strategic financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisions.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external bodies including ATO auditors banks and suppliers.
- Lead mentor and develop finance team members while fostering Accors Heartist culture.
Qualifications :
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance; CA or CPA qualified.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards tax super NES and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in hospitality systems ( Opera PurchasePlus WageEasy desirable).
- Exceptional communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet strict deadlines.
