Job Summary

NEW MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER BASED IN ANDOVER.

Our client based in Andover Hampshire specialise in the design and manufacture of highly complex PCBAs for a range of industries like automotive industrial and medical.

Youll be involved in the design development and manufacture of components tooling fixtures and test equipment contributing to both prototype and production-scale manufacturing. This role offers the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers taking ideas from concept through to full-scale production.

Responsibilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Andover.

Design and develop components and assemblies for semiconductor packaging applications.
Conduct early-stage feasibility studies and develop advanced concepts using emerging technologies.
Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable products applying DFM/DFA principles.
Maintain and optimise engineering processes in line with company and international quality standards.
Provide technical support and mentorship within the department promoting a right first time approach.

Requirements as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Andover.

Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical or production engineering (preferably within semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing).
HND or degree in Mechanical Electrical or Production Engineering.
Proficient in CAD design and 2D drafting (SolidWorks preferred).
