About the Role
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic hands-on and mature-minded leader to shape how Djirras Office of the CEO operates. Reporting to the Director Strategy and Office of the CEO the Manager Office of the CEO will ensure the smooth strategic and high-impact functioning of the CEOs office.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Executive Team youll coordinate key relationships drive advocacy and policy influence and align organisational priorities that advance Djirras vision. Youll bring a balance of strategic insight and practical execution comfortable working across all levels of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead effective processes to ensure CEO is fully supported and her office operations run smoothly
- Provide high-level strategic and operational support to the CEO.
- Coordinate CEO correspondence briefings and external engagements.
- Lead policy and advocacy initiatives that strengthen Djirras voice and influence.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Aboriginal communities government and sector partners.
- Lead and mentor a small team fostering collaboration accountability and cultural safety.
About you
Youre an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced purpose-driven environment and loves processes. You bring a broad of toolkit insight and practical experience and know how to use them well. Politically astute and emotionally intelligent you have experience creating alignment and collaborating cross teams to ensure all CEO external engagements are properly resourced.

- Proven experience in strategic advisory policy advocacy and/ or executive support roles.
- Passion for implementing new processed to increase efficiency
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal women and families.
- Commitment to Djirras values of self-determination respect and integrity.

- Tertiary qualification in law Aboriginal affairs governance public policy or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in the family violence legal or community sectors and/or Aboriginal Affairs.
- A Victorian Employees Working with Childrens Check card or willing to obtain one
- Willing to obtain a Police Check at Djirras expense
- Drivers License
