Resonetics AGILE Product Development (formerly Distal Solutions) is the medical device design and development division of Resonetics. Specializing in the creation of innovative minimally invasive technologies we partner with clients to bring groundbreaking solutions to life. Our team is driven by a passion for advancing endovascular medical technologies. Were seeking ambitious and driven individuals to join our close-knit team. Our work involves a dynamic range of responsibilities from hands-on device and prototype assembly to later-phase build support design for manufacturability and the development of custom assembly processes and fixturing.
The AGILE Engineering Co-Op will perform entry level engineering tasks and complete projects as assigned.

Please note: This position is for on-site work at our Westborough MA location.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabrication of assembly fixtures alongside development of test methods
- Vendor research capability assessments and selection process
- Design verification tasks including simulated use testing manufacturing document creation and device assembly in a Controlled Environment Room
- Creation of and updates to CAD drawings for component procurement and assembly
- Hands-on prototyping and controlled assembly of finished medical devices including:
- Rapid prototyping using in-house SLA FDM Glowforge laser cutter and laser welder
- Catheter shaft lamination and complex catheter reflow processes
- Secondary operations such as tipping skiving and hole punching
- Adhesive bonding applications including UV curing
- Basic machining (mill/lathe) for precision part finishing
- Laser welding of complex assemblies
- Catheter assembly and integration
- Application of hydrophilic coatings for enhanced device performance
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Innovative problem solver with strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in CAD modeling and drawing creation with SolidWorks experience preferred
- Analytical thinker with hands-on experience in test method development execution and data analysis
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously
- Preferred hands-on prototyping experience including work in a machine shop or similar environments
- Self-motivated and passionate about thriving in a fast-paced dynamic product development setting
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to adhering to established procedures
Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.
