As a consultant within the Vertical team you will work with our clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap and design and implement differentiated digital solutions to help deliver measurable value.
Job Description:
Role Summary: The Release Engineer is responsible for managing the software build release and deployment processes ensuring the integrity and stability of production environments. This role involves collaboration with development and operations teams to streamline and automate processes resolve issues and ensure successful software delivery including regular software upgrades.
5. Development Team Support: Work closely with development teams to integrate automated testing into the release process. Ensure that releases meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Analyze and report on release metrics and performance.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices for release engineering. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance release processes. Participate in post-release reviews to gather feedback and drive future improvements.
7. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Assess risks associated with releases and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact release schedules or quality. Maintain a log of issues and resolutions for future reference.
Required Skills: Proven experience in release engineering software development or DevOps roles.
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps).
Proficiency in version control systems (e.g. Git SVN). Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) for automation.
Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring and visualization tools (e.g. Grafana). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
