Job Summary

What You Can Expect

Under general direction from the VP - Compliance you will actively manage certain Compliance functions for the Energy Management side of Supply & Energy Management BP US (S&EM BP US) reporting scope. The scope of activities for this position includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Acting as a thought leader to constantly grow and develop the S&EM BP US Ethics & Compliance Program
  • Take a leading role in the growth and development of the S&EM BP US Ethics & Compliance Program including development implementation and maintenance of policies procedures exception reporting and training
  • Drive continuous improvement coordinates projects across the organization assures S&EM BP US compliance with certain regulatory reporting across multiple regulators and leads working teams to accomplish goals while maintaining a system of internal controls
  • Support and participate in development and presentation of S&EM BP US Ethics & Compliance reports to Board level leadership
  • Managing the S&EM BP US communications and trade surveillance functions to promote compliance with exchange Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Public Utility Commission (PUC) and Independent System Operator (ISO) rules and regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate S&EM BP US compliance with applicable exchange position limits (e.g. Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Nodal)
  • Responsible for leading any necessary analysis and interactions with front office that may arise as a result of activities such as trade and communications surveillance position limit monitoring or other due diligence activities that may arise
  • Monitor S&EM BP US compliance with the S&EM BP US Ethic & Compliance Program comprised of internal policies and procedures designed to promote compliance with external regulatory rules and regulations
  • Leads and coordinates the Companys response to requests for information that may be received from various regulatory entities

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in which you completed courses in a related study or discipline where you developed leadership traits as well as analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant progressively advancing energy industry experience with previous experience in regulatory filings
  • Knowledge of FERC CFTC (including Dodd-Frank) Exchange and ISO rules
  • Expertise in use of Microsoft Office as well as tools commonly used by compliance functions including but not limited to trade surveillance software (e.g. Validus SMARTS) communications surveillance software (e.g. Global Relay SMARSH) Web ICE and ICE Chat (Messenger) CME Clearport Nodal Exchange Legal Entity Identification registration/renewals and .
  • Ability to communicate effectively with credit middle office legal front office personnel regulators and external consultants

Additional Details

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working 3 days in the office

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to use company computer calculator etc.

Compensation

Salary Range: $131000 $200790 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal state and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography experience education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
