NaphCare has a partnership with NetCE that provides CEU/CME for our staff. NetCE uses a rigorous peer review process to ensure that all activities and content are up-to-date. This service streamlines continuing education for all NaphCare Employees to meet state specific requirements for maintaining licensing.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the MediCal Coordinator:
- Application support and enrollment - Identify MediCal-eligible patients and assist with California Medicaid enrollment
- Program knowledge: maintain program expertise training requirements and certifications for all application assistance services offered by Medi-Cal
- Will travel to various local hospitals (upwards of 100 miles a day some days) and facilities to ensure that hospitalized patients are signed up for the appropriate state benefits (MediCal)
- Experience working with people of a diverse set of backgrounds
- Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail email or fax
- Must be detail-oriented and comfortable understanding long complex applications
- Must be personable and a good communicator
- Will work closely with our Utilization Management department San Diego County staff and our facilities Program Manager
Qualifications
Qualificationsfor the MediCal Coordinator:
- Associates or Bachelors degree is required.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred
- Authorized as an enrollment Assistor or willing to get authorized
- One year experience in a customer service setting such as health care eligibility and enrollment
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office
