Precision Parts Inspector
J.H. Fletcher & Co. a worldwide leader in the manufacture of heavy mobile machinery has a job opening for a Precision Parts Inspector at our Huntington WV facility. This position plays an essential role in ensuring that incoming precision parts meet all dimensional material and heat treatment specifications in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision inspection equipment CAD software and a strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing quality processes.

Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Control or Precision Inspection
Proficiency with 7-axis FARO Arm operation
Experience using 3D CAD software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and Assembly Bills of Material
Strong communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers micrometers bore gauges and thread gauges
Preferred:
Associates degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or a related technical field
Certification in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing)
Experience conducting root cause analysis on failed components
Familiarity with SafetyCulture and AS400 software systems
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and documentation
Inspect incoming precision parts for dimensional accuracy material and heat treatment compliance
Operate a 7-axis FARO Arm and interpret 3D CAD data for precision inspection
Maintain and verify calibration of inspection tools per ISO 9001 requirements
Record inspection results and process non-conforming parts through SafetyCulture and AS400 systems
Coordinate rejected or non-conforming parts with suppliers and internal departments
Utilize internal databases to access part specifications and engineering drawings
Perform Rockwell hardness testing using an RC tester
Conduct tool calibration verifications and maintain accurate records
Observe safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized inspection area
Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
