Job Summary
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating vacuum trucks to remove and transport various materials including liquids sludge and hazardous waste. The Vacuum Truck Operator must adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain vacuum trucks and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Safely load and unload materials ensuring proper disposal or recycling
- Monitor equipment for any maintenance needs and report issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and disposal locations
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
