About the area

The Centre of Best Practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention (CBPATSISP) is a national leader in Indigenous suicide prevention research and practice. Operating within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Education the Centre works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples communities and organisations to promote culturally informed evidence-based approaches to suicide prevention. The Centre is committed to empowering Indigenous governance leadership and self-determination in all aspects of its work.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the operational delivery of high-impact research projects and grants.
  • Drive strategic planning and funding initiatives to support Indigenous suicide prevention.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including Indigenous communities researchers and government agencies.

  • You bring strong leadership and project management experience in research environments.
  • You have a deep understanding of Indigenous governance and community engagement.
  • Youre confident in managing budgets funding applications and reporting obligations.
  • You communicate effectively and build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
  • You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to making a difference.
