What Youll Do
- Serves as the principal customer interface for ACO laboratory operations coordinating all chemical and physical analytical services to meet programmatic and product requirements.
- Provides customers with high quality cost-effective timely and technically-appropriate data to satisfy their projects analytical requirements.
- Aligns sample priority within the laboratory workflow for efficient and effective sample processing.
- Manages laboratory samples priorities such that site and customer timelines are met as communicated by milestones deliverables regulatory deadlines and emergency situations.
- Represents the Analytical Chemistry Organization in meetings when communicating laboratory capabilities and capacities in support of programmatic and project requirements.
- Assists customers with in-process changes to their analytical service requests through coordination between the customer and laboratory management.
- Collaborates with the ACOs Site Integration representative to develop labor and cost estimates for customers.
- Manages the design of new or non-routine analytical projects by negotiating project parameters and requirements by facilitating technical interfaces between clients and laboratory SMEs.
- Assists customers with Requests for Proposal (RFPs) Statements of Work (SOWs) or other project/bid documents to determine the most appropriate project requirements.
- Maintains regular communications with customers and EP&C through meetings emails telephone conversations Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and routine customer surveys.
- Communicates analytical project requests and requirements to laboratory staff through meetings email LIMS projects SAPs transmittal SOWs or other project documents.
- Communicates project requests and analytical requirements to laboratory staff for the following: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Clean Water Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste handling. Engages with production clientele to determine the cause(s) of process problems and how to best prevent or reduce the problems in the future

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as chemistry or a physical science discipline: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 7 to 10 years.
- OR Masters degree in a technical field such as chemistry or a physical science discipline: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience ranging from 7 to 10 years.
- In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e. Baccalaureate in engineering or related scientific major 2 years job-related and 1-year nuclear experience; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in a technical field such as chemistry or a physical science with 5 or more years of relevant experience is preferred
