Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Specialty Medicine/ Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in Charleston SC. This role is vital in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients in specialty medicine and acute care settings ensuring high standards of practice in line with hospital protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in specialty medicine and acute care settings.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in patient condition and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on health management disease prevention and treatment options.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on department.
Desired Experience
- Prior experience in a specialty medicine or acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
