Job Role: Production Support Analyst
Location: Jersey City NJ (Hybrid)
Type: Long Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Production Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for critical banking and financial applications in a 24x7 enterprise environment. The candidate will be responsible for incident management issue resolution root cause analysis and continuous improvement of production systems ensuring high availability and stability for clients business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2/3 production support for enterprise applications within the Banking / Financial Services domain.
- Monitor application health performance and batch jobs using standard monitoring tools.
- Respond to incidents service requests and alerts ensuring timely resolution per SLA.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Coordinate with development infrastructure and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Manage change release and deployment activities with proper documentation and approvals.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 8 years of experience in production support / application support within banking or financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux SQL (Oracle DB2 or Sybase) and Shell / Python scripting.
- Experience with incident management tools (ServiceNow Remedy or JIRA etc).
- Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools (Control-M Autosys or similar).
- Understanding of application architecture web services and message queues (MQ Kafka etc.).
- Ability to analyze logs troubleshoot issues and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced global support environment.
