Job Summary
Job Title: Accounting Operations Manager
Location: Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Texas
Position Summary:
The Accounting Operations Manager will oversee daily accounting operations in a manufacturing environment. Additionally this role focuses on financial processing payroll management and management of basic HR tasks supported by third-party vendors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounting software and manufacturing processes to ensure efficient operations and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- General ledger entries account reconciliation month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes using QuickBooks and ERP software.
- Learn and retain detailed knowledge of manufacturing operations including part production processes to address recurring questions on open jobs purchase orders (POs) and related financial impacts.
- Collaborate with the team on financial reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee payroll processing through HR systems including periodic updates such as holiday calendars pay raises and onboarding new employees.
- Administer employee benefits programs in coordination with third-party providers.
- Handle basic HR functions leveraging external companies for advanced services like compliance and employee relations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general accounting with proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP.
- Background in manufacturing to understand production workflows and financial implications.
- Strong skills in AP/AR payroll management.
- Ability to manage HR tasks with support from third-party vendors.
- Excellent learning capacity and attention to detail for retaining operational knowledge.
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Maturity to self-manage and thrive in an autonomous environment
