Compounding Production Supervisor (m/w/d) - Your next role

As a Compounding Production Supervisor (m/w/d) you will directly report to our Compounding Production Manager and you will join our Compounding Production in Vernier. You will be in charge of providing support to Compounding Production Manager by managing the production operations to ensure that intermediate or finished fragrances products are delivered according to established production specifications schedules quality safety and service standards.

In this exciting role you will :

Production Management :

  • You will manage the performance of the production area to meet the production schedules and targets ;
  • You will be expected to be a role model in promoting a strong EHS culture. As one of the key guarantors of compliance with Hygiene Safety and Environmental standards you will ensure that all employees remain highly vigilant in these areas ;
  • You will make sure of availability of materials required for the operation ;
  • You will monitor the volume and quality of output and adjust tasks timing equipment set-up so that production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently ;
  • You will ensure the protection of plant assets and the implementation of internal control regulations ;
  • You will be in charge of preparing production reports so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.

Production Processes :

  • You will act with a Continuous Improvement mindset consequently ;
  • You will establish manufacturing processes and procedures for in line with safety EHS Quality standards and our requirements ;
  • You will take care on necessary capacity improvements to fulfill the demand evolution and prevent new asset investments ;
  • You will be the owner of Continuous Improvement program roll out ;
  • You will make ensure that people follow the standard operating procedures on all manufacturing area.

People Management :

  • You will lead the production operations and a team of 3 shift leaders ;
  • You will manage the daily work to ensure that all production tasks are performed and all machines and equipment operated safety ;
  • You will be in charge of the management performance and you will provide ongoing feedback (e.g. conducting mid-year and end-year reviews) addressing behavior and job performance issues recommending hiring People Management Programs and Givaudan established Policies ;
  • You will ensure that employees receive refresher training ;
  • You will ensure that third-party employees intervening on-site have received appropriate training and competencies before they are active on assignments ;
  • It is necessary to work as a team player thats why you will work closely with your manager and you will inform any undesired situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazard and which they cannot correct themselves (incident accident injury to health or near miss which arises in the course of or in connection with work).

Your success profile includes:

  • University degree in Engineering or related discipline. A Lean certification is an asset ;
  • You have 8 or more years of experience in production with exposure to safety quality and materials process management ;
  • You have 5 or more years of experience in people management ;
  • With solid experience in production you demonstrate a genuine passion for operations and a strong willingness to understand the field ;
  • A natural leader you build trust and engage your teams around performance and safety objectives ;
  • Your pragmatic approach and strong understanding of production flows enable you to optimize processes while ensuring safety and operational reliability ;
  • You are Fluent in French and English (oral and written) ;
  • Knowledge in SAP and other systems ;
