Job Summary

Job Title: Retail Inventory Analyst
Department: Sales
Location: Traverse City MI (hybrid 2-3 days a week on-site)
Reports to: General Manager Glen Arbor Flagship
Summary of Position:
Cherry Republics Inventory Analyst supports the daily management of our inventory across all retail stores and exclusively Traverse City. This role ensures accurate stock levels timely replenishment and smooth coordination between departments so that customers always experience the best of Cherry Republic.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Acumatica/Shopify and functionality.
  • Creates and updates processes and procedures for all tasks in Acumatica as it relates to inventory management.
  • Assists in the coordination of physical inventory dates with all retail locations Finance and the DFC.
  • Responsible for Traverse City Retail Store Inventory including ordering receiving and maintaining the products and cycle counts.
  • Work with retail locations to streamline their inventory process increasing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the Inventory Variance report and check in with locations on any issues.
  • Oversight of store error reports and open in-transit receipts including adjustments to deliveries that are inconsistent with expectation.
  • Assists with the Inventory Planning and safety stocks for all stores in collaboration with each Retail Specialist.
  • Runs the Inventory Specialists meeting (twice a month) in conjunction with Marketing DFC and General Managers.
  • Collaborates with appropriate teams (Marketing Fulfillment Production) to ensure smooth and accurate inventory distribution.
  • Acts as a liaison for all retail stores as new inventory becomes available.
  • Oversee Bulk projections for the company.
  • Track slow-moving or high-demand items and escalate supply risks to management
  • Oversee product samples program and maintain lists of what needs to be sampled weekly.
  • Ensure cycle counts are happening three times per week as outlined in standard operating procedures
  • Facilitates employee training as it relates to Inventory for all Retail locations
  • Some travel to other locations for training and help.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Retail Inventory Analyst reports to the General Managers/ TC Store Manager and has minimal supervisory responsibilities over Retail Ambassadors working in the stockroom only. For employees who serve in the stockroom and on the sales floor supervisory duties are limited to only employees time in the stockroom.
Necessary Skills:
  • Effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Previous experience in inventory control supply chain or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
  • Strong ability to work with others in a group setting
  • Ability to lift/move product as needed in a warehouse setting
  • Strong follow through in accordance with deadlines
  • Able to solve problems efficiently and in a timely manner in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Education and/or Experience - Bachelors degree from a four-year College or University; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients customers managers and the public.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as cost of goods sold appropriate product price mark-ups proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to communicate issues accurately and thoroughly to customers and staff.
  • Computer Skills To perform this job successfully you should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Shopify an ERP system and other basic computer skills.
  • Physical Requirements- This position requires 90% of the employees time spent at a desk sitting in a stationary position at a computer and 10% of the time working in the stockroom or walking bending lifting and moving products up to 50lbs. Comfortable standing and utilizing a conveyor belt as needed to receive product.
