What youll be responsible for

Were looking for a proactive and collaborative Mobile Facilities Maintenance Engineer to help keep our buildings safe reliable and efficient. Youll play a key role in maintaining essential systems supporting projects and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who uses our facilities.

Working with the Head of Facilities Management you will:

  1. Maintain and improve all mechanical and electrical systems across our facilities/asset portfolio
  2. Deliver planned and reactive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly
  3. Oversee quality checks for new installations and ensure compliance with standards
  4. Contribute to risk management and develop practical solutions to recurring issues
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and contractors
  6. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs as part of an on-call rota
  7. Make cost-effective decisions on repairs replacements and redesigns
  8. Support delivery of projects that meet safety regulatory and financial goals
  9. Promote health and safety and best practice in all activities

About you

Essential Experience Qualifications and Skills

  1. Qualified in Mechanical Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
  2. Experience in facilities maintenance or engineering
  3. A range of project and people management skills combined with strong experience in the delivery of maintenance & reliability improvement projects
  4. An ability to think strategically in terms of lifetime costs; identifying a range of possible solutions and presenting a coherent rationale for a recommended action
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplined engineering environment whilst maintaining effective day to day delivery of services
  6. The ability to work to tight regulatory and project deadlines

Good to know

  • You will work flexibly between designated site locations in the South East region (including Cardiff and Newport) after training completed
  • Required to be on call out rota every 4-5 weeks for out of hour emergencies
  • Company Transit van will be provided - clean drivers licence required
