Your role
You will join the Courses & Workshops team as a Programme Officer. The Courses & Workshops Programme funds over 90 courses and conferences attracting more than 12000 participants every year making it the largest funder of life science meetings in Europe. EMBO Courses & Workshops are organised by leading scientists in their fields and enjoy an excellent addition to providing financial support EMBO assists organizers with the promotion of the meeting the creation of a website with registration system and abstract submission facilities and the design of a poster.
Reporting to the Head of Courses & Workshops you will provide a range of technical and administrative support for the Courses & Workshops Programme.

Our diverse international team of approximately 70 staff collaborate closely with one another and with external stakeholders to further our mission. EMBO is located on the international EMBL life sciences research campus in Heidelberg Germany.
Heidelberg with a population of around 160000 people is an international university city and research hub. It is attractively located between the Rhine River and the Odenwald a low mountain range that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The city has good national and international travel connections.

Contract: EMBO offers a fixed-term contract for this position issued through the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).
