Position Summary:

The Centre for Media Technology and Democracy at McGill University is seeking applications for part-time Research Assistant to work on the Centres strategic policy file for Online Harms and AI Policy.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Familiarity with AI and online harms policy in Canada and internationally

  • Experience in digital policy analysis including AI governance

  • Comfortability with interdisciplinary research

  • Clear writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

Contract Details

This position is a part-time contract position with the Centre for Media Technology and Democracy for up to 10hrs/week at $31.44/hr.

The Research Assistant will report to the Associate Director Policy at the Centre for Media Technology and Democracy.

Education

Currently enrolled student at McGill University in a relevant field (e.g. Policy Communication Studies Media Studies Political Science etc.).
