Job Summary: The A&P Aircraft Mechanic II will ensure that all work accomplished is in accordance with current FAA approved technical data. Adheres to quality maintenance standards in accordance with the companys Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM) and other applicable manuals such as company and regulatory guidance materials; to include Airworthiness Directives Ads AMM Aircraft Maintenance Manuals SRM Structural Repair Manual WDM Wiring Diagram Manual.
Essential and Responsibilities:
This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
Responsible for reviewing work assigned obtaining tools and necessary parts and completing the job in a timely manner following the applicable manuals without sacrificing quality or safety.
Ensure that all routine non-routine and customer request work cards are correctly completed and properly signed off.
Verify calibrated tooling used is current and properly noted on paperwork.
Ensure that employees are always kept safe by following the companys written policies regarding environmental health and safety. The safety and protection of personnel environment and property is our number one goal.
Perform all work assigned in accordance with approved or accepted FAA data.
Maintain the premises in a clean and organized manner.
Return work to service.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other management personnel.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Required.
2-4 years of experience.
Large commercial aircraft experience preferred.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check verification of credentials and a urinary preemployment test for drugs as per DOT regulations.
Depending on location you may be required to pass the required background checks for TSA FBI etc. to obtain an airport issued badge such as SIDA AOA or any other badge required by the airport authority. If required by the location passing this and obtaining the badge is a condition of employment since the badge allows you access into the worksite.
