The Senior Public Sector Financial Consultant provides strategic financial leadership and advisory services to the ministry ensuring alignment with the public sector financial regulations. This role involves guiding financial reforms enhancing budgetary efficiency and supporting sustainable public finance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on public financial management frameworks and reforms.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies for ministry programs.
- Ensure compliance with Qatars governmental financial regulations.
- Conduct financial impact assessments and risk analyses for ministry initiatives.
- Support capacity building and knowledge transfer within the ministrys finance team.
- Collaborate with ministry stakeholders to align financial strategies with Qatars Vision 2030.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field (Masters degree or professional certification such as CPA CFA or ACCA preferred).
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in finance and accounting with a strong focus on public sector financial management including at least 10 years of experience in a governmental role within the State of Qatar.
- Proven track record managing large-scale government budgets.
- Deep understanding of Qatars fiscal policies regulatory environment and strategic development goals.
- Proven experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is a must.
