Job Summary

The Johns Hopkins HospitalsPediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitionerwill provide clinical care in theNewborn Nurseryon Zayed 8. The NP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age appropriate care to both well andill patients. The NP educates patient familiesand/or intervenes in acute or chronic illness. The NP promotes mother/baby couplet care and provides lactation consultation services to all new mothers on Zayed 8.

The Nurse Practitioner practices within the guidelines of the unit department and institution and in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner- Physician Written Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland.

Shifts:10 hour day shifts

Qualifications:

  • MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP licenseare required
  • Current certificationas aPediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family NPin the State of Maryland
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted
  • The ideal candidate hasat least 3 yearsof acute care RN work experience (NICU or L&D experience strongly preferred)
  • NP work experience preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 71.16/hour - Maximum 71.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
