Job Summary

Shift:Friday-Sunday PM Shift (36 hours a week)

The Johns Hopkins Hospitals Nelson 6is a 23-bed medical floor with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry 6 is a dynamic acute care/telemetry unit that exemplifies award-winning patient care and interprofessional collaboration. Our inclusive Clinical Care team partners with physicians rehabilitation therapies care management and support staff to provide exemplary patient care todiverse patients with complex co-morbidities. The service provides care for a multitude of medical diagnoses including patients presenting with heart failure liver failure respiratory failure and end stage renal disease.

Clinical Technicians atThe Johns Hopkins Hospitalhave the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.

  • Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients. PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year. The PCT Intern will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements.

  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted.

  • Clinical Technician Intern

Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
