What Youll Do As a Planner Buyer Lead youll support the Materials Manager and lead efforts to optimize planning and procurement processes. As a Planner Buyer Lead youll play a key role in ensuring production continuity mentoring others and shaping best practices in materials planning and procurement. This is a high-impact role with opportunities to lead initiatives collaborate cross-functionally and grow your career in a dynamic manufacturing responsibilities will include:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and maintain mid- to long-term material plans aligned with production goals
- Analyze demand trends and supply risks to proactively address potential disruptions
Shortage Management
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for part shortages
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to expedite critical components and maintain production flow
Team Development & Mentorship
- Train and guide buyers and planners on tools (Oracle Intuiflow KBB PowerBI) and best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for less experienced colleagues
Continuous Improvement
- Apply Lean principles and Fortive Business System (FBS) tools to identify and close process gaps
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency
What You BringMust-Have Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field
- 5 years of experience in planning and procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and material planning processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Intuiflow KBB and PowerBI
- Familiarity with Lean principles and FBS tools
- Proven ability to lead small projects and influence process improvements
