Part-Time Custodian (Nuuanu)

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail to clean and maintain a commercial building. While prior experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred. Parking is not available on property. All applicants must successfully pass a background check.

Part-Time Custodian
Location: Nuuanu Ave. (Honolulu HI 96817)

Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain and clean common areas of the facility and restrooms
-Ability to navigate four levels of stairs (no elevator)
-Sweep dust mop vacuum and sanitize areas while refilling supplies
-Clean and sanitize urinals and toilets
-Wipe down walls and partitions
-Clean mirrors and glass surfaces
-Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and hallways
-Remove trash and dispose of it in designated areas
-Work independently while following instructions
Cleaning Checklist:
-Entry Area: Sweep and wash down the entry
-Wipe down the gate
-Clean glass doors and windows
Kitchen:
-Wipe down counters
-Clean tables and chairs
-Empty trash and replace liners
-Sweep and mop the floor
Restrooms (Four areas):
-Clean and wipe down toilets and urinals
-Sanitize counters and sinks
-Clean partitions and dispensers
-Empty trash and replace liners
-Sweep and mop the floor
Office Floors (Four areas):
-Empty trash and replace liners
-Wipe down and dust surfaces
-Vacuum carpeted areas and stairs
-Clean entry area: sweep and mop floors clean glass doors and windows
-Remove bagged trash to the outside dumpster

Skills/Qualifications:
-Must pass a background check
-High school diploma or GED preferred
-Previous janitorial or custodian experience is a plus; training available
-Experienced in handling cleaning chemicals
-Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
-Strong public relations and communication skills
-Must perform basic manual labor frequently lift push pull and carry a minimum of 15 lbs (up to 20 lbs) reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb stretch walk navigate stairs and stand for the duration of shifts (3-4 hours)
-Schedule: Tuesday Wednesday and Friday - 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Total Hours: 12 hours per week
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
