The Foster Care Case Worker plays a vital role in our mission to deliver coordinated individualized care to our communities.

Build Your Purpose.

As a Foster Care Case Worker you will provide:

  • Case Management and Support:
    • Conduct interviews with children and families and complete detailed home studies.
    • Develop individualized treatment and service plans that address each childs unique needs.
    • Provide counseling and guidance to children and families throughout placement or discharge.
  • Child and Family Supervision:
    • Oversee children in foster resource and adoptive homes as well as independent living arrangements.
    • Perform regular assessments to determine the childs needs for medical psychosocial educational and nutritional services.
  • Service Coordination and Continuity:
    • Link children to appropriate services minimizing barriers to care and coordinating with other agencies to ensure comprehensive service access.
    • Assist in arranging referrals for medical remedial and dental services as outlined in each childs treatment plan.
    • Monitor the ongoing progress of each case evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan and collaborating with involved parties including family assessment teams.
  • Education and Counseling:
    • Build a supportive trusting relationship with the child promoting growth and well-being in alignment with the service plan.
    • Educate children and families on available resources and work closely with team members to prepare comprehensive case plans.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Masters or Doctorate in Social Work or a related field (sociology psychology special education or counseling) from an accredited institution or
    • Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field with relevant experience in casework services.
  • Experience:
    • At least one year of experience in providing casework services to children and families with a masters degree or
    • Two years of experience in casework services with a bachelors degree in any field.
