Job Summary

Job Title: Retail Gift Packer
Location: Traverse City MI (On-Site)
Reports To: Retail Store Manager

Summary of Position:
Cherry Republics Retail Gift Packer is responsible for packing all ship-from-store gift boxes to ship out to our customers around the country. This is a part-time seasonal position during the holiday season. This position will begin mid-November and run through the end of the December 2025. We are looking for applicants who can work 15-20 hours a week minimum through the end of December 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Pack packages safely and securely using the preferred packing methods.
Collect all shipments to be shipped and move them to the back room.
Pack boxes according to CR packing procedures ensuring they are safe for shipment and presentable for recipients
Print shipping labels and stack packages according to Ground shipments and 2-day shipments
Keep a nice tidy clean workspace
Communicate the need for supplies to the Retail Inventory Analyst
Assist in moving Fed-Ex packages outside to the truck when your shift overlaps with the truck
Uphold Cherry Republic customer service standards when interacting with customers
Assist Retail Manager with other duties as assigned

Skills You Need

Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and comfortably
Proficient computer skills
Excellent communicator
Strong attention to detail.
Organized team player who has a good understanding of the culture of Cherry Republic.
Comprehensive knowledge of all cherry products sold in-store.
Self-motivated and able to multi-task

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Retail Gift Packer reports to appointed store management members and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Skills- Ability to read. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients customers managers and the general public.
Computer Skills Toperform this job successfully you should have knowledge of our POS system including Shopify Microsoft and other platforms.
Reasoning Ability Abilityto communicate accurately timely and thoroughly to customers and staff.
Physical Requirements - Ability to be on foot for long periods of time walking on the sales floor with the stamina to stand stationary when packing boxes. Frequently lifting 50 lbs or more throughout a 6-hour shift. Must be able to reach bend crouch and use a ladder.
