Biology teacher

Platon Private School a proud member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP)is seeking a passionate and experienced IB Biology Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology and a deep understanding of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and/or Middle Years Programme (MYP).You will inspire students to explore the natural world think scientifically and apply biological concepts to real-life situations while nurturing their independent research and inquiry skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
• Assess record and report on students progress according to IB standards.
• Supervise Internal Assessments and Extended Essays where applicable.
• Contribute to curriculum development and cross-disciplinary projects.
• Participate actively in school events professional learning and departmental collaboration.
• Support students personal and academic growth within the IB learner profile framework.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Biology Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
• Teaching qualification or certification required.
• Minimum 23 years of teaching experience preferably in an IB school.
• Excellent command of English (native or near-native fluency).
• Strong classroom management communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches.
