| Faculty Position Information | Abilene Christian University invites applications for up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Nuclear Science and Engineering with consideration given to candidates possessing qualifications and experience suitable for the Associate Professor level. These are nine-month full-time appointments. The successful candidates will be integral to developing and expanding the universitys new graduate program in nuclear science and engineering teaching advanced coursework advising graduate students and engaging in innovative research aligned with the universitys strategic vision. These faculty members will be responsible for teaching coursework across several areas including nuclear engineering reactor theory instrumentation and advanced topics such as machine learning and system control. They will serve as research advisors for Masters and PhD students. They are also expected to work to obtain external grants support curriculum development and collaborate with the universitys NEXT Lab and its planned molten salt research reactor project which will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and educational opportunities. Importantly this position is rooted in the core values of Abilene Christian University.
