Our Opportunity
We are seekingaMedical Doctor andexperiencedconsultant forthe position ofPrincipalScientistin ourHealth SciencesPractice.This position is open across all U.S. office locations.In this role you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams toprovide strategic leadership and expert guidance on projects involving medicalevaluationscausation analysisrisk assessment and risk communication.These projects span a broad spectrum of productsmedical devicestherapiesandvarioushealth endpointsandmedical conditions.Projectsmayalsoinclude the evaluation ofmechanism of action;dose response;health hazard indices;review ofmedicalscientificand epidemiologic literature;comparative risk research;analyses using data science tools;and/orassistancewith regulatory documents and analyses.Review and interpretation of medical records physician notes dosing and recommended use and other factors will also be undertaken in these projects as willreview ofrelevant epidemiologicand medicalsources for causation analyses.You will lead complex projects cultivate relationships with existing clients identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of our Health Sciences Practice.

- Leveraging deep knowledge inmedicineto address a wide range of complex human health challenges acrossdiverseclient sectors therapies clinical health endpoints and patients delivering scientificallyrigorousand impactfulsolutions.
- Identifying pursuing and securingnew client engagements by understandingemergingneedsand building long-term partnerships.
- Maintainingand growingtrusted relationships with existingclients byconsistently delivering high-quality workanticipatingfuture needs and serving as a strategic advisor.
- Building managing and empoweringmultidisciplinary teams fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and scientific integrity.
- Providingguidance coaching and professional development opportunities to technical staff supporting their growth into future leaders and experts.
- Ensuringsuccessful project execution through effective planning resource allocation and budget management whilemaintaininghigh standardsof quality and timeliness.
- Offer high-level scientific and strategic advice to both internal stakeholders and external clients contributing to the firms thought leadership and client impact.
- Enhance the firms visibility and credibility by publishing in peer-reviewed journalspresenting atindustry conferences leading seminars andparticipatingin expert advisory or technical committees.
You will have the following skills and qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (O.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
- Ph.D.orM.S.degreeinEpidemiologyorarelatedscientificdiscipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in thepharmaceutical orpublic healthareas.
- Past orcurrent clinicalexperiencepreferred.
- Proventrack record of business generation and attracting new and repeat clients or funding.
- Expertisein epidemiologic study design and real-world evidence generation (e.g. non-interventional database studies registries).
- Knowledge in regulatory science pharmacovigilance clinical development or HEOR.
- Critical appraisal and scientific interpretation of observational studies.
- Experience managing or contributing to multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring staff.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret dataidentifytrends and make informed recommendations in your scientific field.
- Outstanding reputation among clients and the scientific community for integrity responsiveness and technicalexpertise.

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponents total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above total compensation includes base salary annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
Salary Range
USD $200000.00 - USD $300000.00 /Yr.
